The LTD story begins with ESP (Electric Sound Products) — a legendary guitar workshop founded in Tokyo in 1975. ESP quickly earned a reputation for building custom instruments for the world's most demanding guitarists: ESP guitars are played by James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett (Metallica), George Lynch, Stephen Carpenter (Deftones), and dozens of other rock and metal stars.
