Acoustic drum kits
Pearl, Tama, Yamaha, Mapex — complete kits and shell packs
An acoustic drum kit consists of shells (kick, snare, toms), hardware (stands, pedal, hi-hat, throne) and cymbals. Complete kits include everything to start, while a shell pack is shells only for your own hardware and cymbals. The shell material (poplar, birch, maple) shapes the timbre. At SoundsGood — Pearl, Tama, Yamaha, Mapex, Sonor for learning, rehearsals, studio and stage. A live sound and natural dynamics. Genuine instruments with a warranty, delivery across Ukraine.

🧩 What a kit consists of
🛢️ Shells
Bass drum (kick), snare and toms (rack and floor). The shell material and size determine the basic timbre and volume.
🔧 Hardware
Stands for toms and cymbals, the kick pedal, the hi-hat stand. Sturdy hardware holds tuning and withstands active playing.
🔔 Cymbals
Hi-hat, crash and ride shape the kit's sound. In complete kits they come included; for a shell pack they're chosen separately.
🪑 Throne and heads
A drum throne for comfortable seating; heads are replaceable membranes that affect the sound and need replacing.

🎯 How to choose a kit
📦 Complete kit or shell pack
A beginner — a complete kit with cymbals and hardware; an experienced player — a shell pack for their own hardware and cymbals.
🌳 Shell material
Poplar — budget and start; birch — a bright studio tone; maple — a versatile warm sound at professional level.
🥁 Configuration and sizes
5 pieces — versatile; 4 — jazz and compactness; more toms — rock. Fusion or rock sizes affect the sound.
🔔 Hardware and cymbals
For a shell pack, factor in buying hardware and cymbals. A complete kit already has them — convenient for starting.
🔊 Volume and space
Acoustic is loud and needs space. For an apartment — low-volume cymbals and muffled heads, or an electronic kit.
🛡️ Level and warranty
Choose a level for your tasks: entry, mid or professional. Genuine kits with an official warranty.

❓ Frequently asked questions
What's included in a drum kit?
Shells (kick, snare, toms), hardware (stands, pedal, hi-hat, throne) and cymbals. Entry kits already include cymbals and hardware, a shell pack is shells only. We'll tell you what's in a specific model.
What is a shell pack and a complete kit?
A shell pack is shells only, without hardware and cymbals (for the experienced). A complete kit is everything to start in one box. Beginners find a complete kit easier to play right away.
Which shell material is better?
Poplar — budget and start; birch — a bright studio tone; maple — a versatile warm sound at professional level. A lot also depends on the heads and tuning.
How many pieces do you need?
5 pieces (kick, snare, two rack toms, floor) — versatile for most styles. 4 — jazz and compactness; more toms — rock. Fusion/rock sizes affect the sound.
Acoustic or electronic kit?
Acoustic — a live sound and dynamics, but loud and needs space (studio, rehearsal, stage). Electronic — quieter, for headphones and apartments. We'll suggest for your conditions.
Is acoustic loud and suitable for an apartment?
Yes, quite loud — for an apartment without insulation it's a problem. The volume is partly reduced by low-volume cymbals and muffled heads, but not fully. For quiet play, an electronic kit is better.
Which kit for a beginner or a child?
A beginner — a complete kit (Pearl Roadshow, Tama Imperialstar, Mapex Tornado). For children — compact junior kits to fit their height. Later — a better-level shell pack.
Which brands and where to buy?
Pearl, Tama, Yamaha, Mapex, Sonor; DW, Ludwig, Gretsch, Tama Starclassic — to order. Delivery across Ukraine; pickup in Kyiv. Phone +380 (73) 060 01 01.
