How does a snow machine work?
A pump feeds snow fluid onto a membrane, a fan blows air through — light white flakes fly out of the nozzle, swirling like real snow. The snowflake size is adjustable. Uses: New Year events, shop windows, weddings, theatre, film. Control — a remote or DMX.
Is the snow wet? Does it leave marks?
No: flakes from branded fluid are dry foam vanishing within minutes without puddles, stains or residue. Guests dance under the snow with no risk to clothing. Cheap fluids conversely leave a sticky trace and clog the membrane — so branded formulas only.
Compact or touring?
Compact — a 20–50 m² zone: a window, a photo zone, a kids' party. Club 600–1200 W — a 3–6 m throw onto a stage or dance floor, DMX and a truss. Touring — hours of work for outdoors, city trees and film shoots. Large zones take several machines around the perimeter.
What fluid and consumption?
Special snow fluids only: branded ones give dry white flakes, cheap ones — a sticky residue and a clogged membrane. Consumption: a compact machine 0.5–1 l/h, touring units — up to 2 l/h. A 5 l canister is the base event reserve. Flush the machine with water after the season.
Snow indoors — what to consider?
The flakes are dry and vanish in minutes. Place the machine at 2–3 m height so the snow swirls. On a glossy floor an intense snowfall may cause slight slipperiness — reduce the output. White or blue beam lighting makes the effect magical.
Does it work outdoors?
Yes, in frost and in summer — artificial snow needs no cold. In frost do not let the fluid freeze in the tank between sessions. Wind carries the flakes — place the generator on the windward side. The housing is not rain-rated — use canopies and protect the sockets.
How much do the machines cost?
Compact units are the most affordable — for decorators and animators. Club machines with DMX — the mid bracket of wedding agencies and rental. Touring units with large tanks — the upper niche of outdoor events and film. Plus the fluid at 0.5–2 l/h. Check prices with our manager.
