| Stereo | inputs, outputs and panning patterns |
Signal-chain position and connections
Before a clean amplifier or in its effects loop; stereo operation requires two amplification or recording channels.
How to choose an effect
- Define the processing character and the effect's role in your sound.
- Check signal level, input headroom and compatibility with guitar, bass or an amplifier effects loop.
- Confirm mono or stereo routing, control inputs and MIDI requirements.
- Verify voltage, polarity and current draw before connecting a power supply.
- For stage use, consider foot-control ergonomics, display visibility and switching speed.

Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right effect?
Start with the musical goal, instrument type, amplifier and intended signal-chain position. Then compare the parameters in the table above.
Can this category work with bass guitar?
Delay Pedals can work with bass when the device has enough headroom and preserves the required low-frequency range.
Do I need stereo connections?
Stereo is useful for a two-channel rig, recording or spatial algorithms. Mono is sufficient for a single amplifier.
How do I check the power supply?
Voltage, connector polarity and available current must match the pedal manufacturer's requirements.
True bypass or buffer?
True bypass adds no active stage, while a good buffer can preserve high frequencies in a long signal chain.
Where should the effect go in the chain?
Before a clean amplifier or in its effects loop; stereo operation requires two amplification or recording channels.
Is the effect suitable for stage and studio?
Yes, but stage use favours robust foot control and visible status, while studio use benefits from low noise, stereo and flexible routing.
How do I order a compatible model?
Tell SoundsGood the guitar or bass, amplifier, current pedals and desired result; we will check compatibility.
