How does an interface or node differ from a splitter or Art-Net gateway?

These are different links in the same chain. A USB-DMX interface is an entry point: it creates a DMX signal from a computer. A network node is a transition point between Ethernet (Art-Net, sACN) and physical DMX. And a splitter takes an existing DMX signal and splits and boosts it across several lines to fixtures. So an interface and a node 'give birth to' or 'receive' the signal, while a splitter distributes it. In a full system they're often used together: interface/node → splitter → fixtures. A USB-DMX interface is a small device (often a 'dongle' or box) that connects to a computer via USB and provides a physical DMX signal on its output. Thanks to it, lighting software on a PC (MagicQ, Sunlite, QLC+ and others) can control real fixtures on stage. Simple interfaces give one DMX output (one universe, 512 channels), more complex ones give input and output with RDM support or several universes. It's the basic bridge between a computer and light. Q: What is a network node (Art-Net/sACN node)?

A network node is a device that connects a lighting Ethernet network with physical DMX lines. It receives Art-Net or sACN protocols over the network and outputs them as ordinary DMX on ports, and some nodes also work in the reverse direction. Nodes let you build scalable systems where one network cable carries many universes, and nodes 'hand them out' at the required points on stage. It's the basis of modern networked light control. Q: What is wireless DMX?

Wireless DMX is the transmission of a DMX signal over radio between a transmitter (TX) and a receiver (RX) without laying a cable. This is convenient for moving fixtures, rotating structures, hard-to-reach places, temporary venues and stages where cabling is impossible or dangerous. Professional systems (for example, based on CRMX technology) provide a stable, interference-protected link. Wireless DMX can be combined with ordinary wired lines.
