🇨🇦 Morrie Backun was a professional bass clarinetist performing with the CBC Radio and Vancouver Opera Orchestras before founding Backun Musical Services. The Q Series Bass Clarinet is the culmination of his lifetime experience as a bass clarinetist and master craftsman. The case was designed by Marcus Bonna with input from Joel Jaffe — compact, lightweight and thoughtfully designed, with an external strap system for the K+M Bass Clarinet stand. Engineering solutions by Jeremy Backun — Morrie's son and the engineering genius of the company.
