The roots of the French wind instrument brand Antoine Courtois Paris date back to 1789, the time of the French Revolution.  It was during that tumultuous period that Monsieur Courtois opened the first French manufactory, which produced brass wind instruments, on the rue Mazarin in Paris.  This is how a family business was founded with, as it turned out later, extraordinary potential.  Another 14 years passed, and his son, Antoine Courtois, opened a large company and launched a large-scale music production.  Over time, the company received his sonorous name and gave the name to the renewed Antoine Courtois Paris brand.

The most popular modern Courtois instruments are trombones, flugelhorns and saxhorns.  Also, the Antoine Courtois Paris brand presents a wide selection of accessories necessary for musicians.  And it all started with brass instruments, which quickly gained popularity in military bands.  In particular, it is a well-known fact that the 18th century Cavalry Trumpet Courtois Rue Mazarine is now exhibited in the Museum of the National Conservatory of Paris.

Since then, the craftsmen of Antoine Courtois continue to constantly improve and modernize the production of brass wind instruments, while remaining faithful to the tradition of high quality of their models.  In particular, in 1844, Antoine Courtois Jr. invented the cornet with the Arban system, which is now known in musical circles.  More than 20 years passed, and a four-valve pump cornet invented by the Italian master Alessandro Sciuri was born under the Antoine Courtois Paris brand.  In 1909, the Antoine Courtois company became the exclusive supplier of the Paris Conservatoire and the Opera House, as well as the Opéra-Comique and the Guard of the Republic.  In 1917, the Antoine Courtois company became the property of the Gade family.  The new owners have invested a lot in the development of the Courtois brand, while maintaining the traditions of the company's founders.  Later, production was moved to the suburbs east of Paris, where it is still located.

Nowadays, the Antoine Courtois Paris brand is part of the powerful Buffet Crampon corporation, specializing in the production of wind instruments.  World-renowned musicians are Courtois customers, and their success is directly related to the quality and reliability of Antoine Courtois Paris trombones, flugelhorns, saxhorns, and accessories.  This brand is known for the fact that Courtois masters take into account all the tips and wishes of their musicians.  Which, accordingly, guarantees the highest quality of their tools.  The main features of Antoine Courtois Paris are the sophistication of the true French style in music, as well as the majestic potential that creates not only the art of the symphony, but also real quality jazz.  Among the well-known groups and performers, the In Media Brass quintet (trombone) – Hungary, the ensemble Les Trompettes de Lyon (flugelhorn) – France, as well as Timothy Anderson (American professor, teacher and first trombonist of the Symphony  Ohio State Orchestra) - Ohio, USA, Steve Davis (Professor of Hartford School) - Connecticut, USA and many other musicians from around the world.
