NUX B-6 is a digital microphone wireless system for saxophone. It combines an electret condenser gooseneck microphone, a transmitter with a bell clamp and a compact receiver. Rubber padding protects the clamp’s contact points on the instrument, while the microphone’s shock isolation reduces the transfer of mechanical vibration.
Adjusting the sound
Three EQ scenes are provided for soprano, alto and tenor saxophones. The flexible gooseneck helps position the microphone relative to the bell. The supplied microphone detaches from the transmitter and uses a locking connector.
Wireless transmission and connections
The system operates at 2.4 GHz with automatic channel selection and pairing. Digital audio is transmitted at 24-bit/44.1 kHz. The manufacturer specifies latency below 4 ms and a range of up to 20 m with a clear line of sight; interference and equipment placement affect the working range.
The receiver connects through XLR to a suitable mixer or audio interface input. Both the transmitter and receiver have built-in rechargeable batteries and can be charged through USB-C or in the supplied case. The units do not operate while charging.
Included components
- Transmitter with bell clamp.

- Power Case for charging.
- USB-A to dual USB-C Y charging cable.
