CORT · BASS GUITARS
Acoustic character with amplified performance
CORT AB850F (Black) is a 4-string bass. The pickup system is Fishman Sonicore. Its 34″ (864mm) scale length is the nut-to-bridge distance; consider it when choosing strings and comparing playing feel.
Four strings in familiar E–A–D–G tuning provide a straightforward foundation for many bass parts. The layout is well suited to working on pulse, position changes and the relationship with the kick drum. Fingerstyle, a pick and changes in picking position produce different attacks without requiring a change of settings.

Construction and playing feel
The neck material is Mahogany, with a fingerboard of Laurel.
The glued joint forms a permanent connection between neck and body. A comfortable setup still depends on appropriate neck relief, string height and string gauge.
Nut specification: 1 11/16″ (43mm). Consider this together with neck profile when comparing the feel of different basses.
Sound and controls
The built-in pickup sends the instrument signal to an amplifier or a compatible audio input. The acoustic body supports unamplified practice at modest volume, while amplification makes the bass easier to balance with an ensemble. On stage, start at a low level and adjust your position relative to the monitor to help control feedback.
In practice
Before an acoustic set, check how much level is available before feedback. For recording, compare the onboard pickup with a microphone; if combining them, check phase alignment. Choose a bag or case by body dimensions, rather than string count alone.
Specifications
Accessories for this bass
Choose accessories to fit the instrument’s construction. Linked accessories are sold separately unless listed as included.
Bass guitar strings
Choose a 4-string set. Instrument scale: 34″ (864mm). Use strings suitable for this acoustic bass construction; electric-bass strings are not always a direct replacement.
Gig bags / hard cases
Check the instrument’s full length, body width and neck support. Check body depth separately; a solid-body bass bag may not fit.
Bass straps
Choose a comfortable width and adjustment range. Check that both strap ends sit securely on the buttons before playing standing up.
Instrument cables
For a conventional bass-amp connection, choose a shielded 6.35 mm TS-to-TS instrument cable. Short patch cables are primarily intended for connections between pedals.
Tuners
Choose a chromatic tuner that tracks low bass notes reliably. A pedal tuner suits a plugged-in setup; a clip-on is convenient for quick tuning.
Stands and hangers
Check the body supports and finish-safe contact surfaces. The stand should hold this instrument’s particular shape securely.
Instrument care
Use a soft cloth after playing. Choose body and fingerboard products for the actual material and finish; an all-purpose polish is not suitable for every surface.
Bass combo amps / audio interfaces
For rehearsals, choose bass amplification with enough output for the band. For home recording, look for an interface with a Hi-Z instrument input and headphone monitoring.
