DIMARZIO P+J Set (Black) Bass Guitar Pickup Set
The DiMarzio P+J Set (DP126) is a pickup set for PJ-configured basses: a two-piece Model P for the middle position and a Model J for the bridge. The Model P delivers a big, punchy Precision Bass sound with added gain and a gutsy midrange, while the Model J brings the warmth, roundness and tight punch of a Jazz Bass. Together they cover everything from tight midrange punch to a warm bottom end with bright, clear attack, and both pickups are hum-cancelling. Covers and pole pieces are black.

Model P: Punch That Cuts Through
The two-piece Model P accurately reproduces the sound of your bass with added gain and solid tone. It cuts through the band without sacrificing bottom-end power, and its gutsy midrange growls when the bass is pushed hard. Tone guide: bass 5.5, low mid 6.0, high mid 6.5, treble 6.0.
Model J: Warmth and Tight Punch at the Bridge
The bridge Model J reproduces the warmth and roundness of the classic Jazz Bass with increased power. It is not a stack: each coil picks up one pair of strings, which keeps resistance low (6.82 kOhm) and the tone clean and clear. Its sensitivity and deep tone also suit fretless basses.
A Ready-Made Hum-Free PJ Pair
This is exactly the combination DiMarzio recommends on both model pages: the warm, fat Model P plus the tight punch of a bridge Model J. Both pickups use 4-conductor wiring and ceramic magnets, and hum cancellation removes single-coil hum.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is included in the set?
A two-piece DiMarzio Model P for the middle position and a Model J for the bridge — a complete set for a PJ-configured bass.
How do the P and J sounds differ?
The Model P is a big, punchy sound with a growling midrange that cuts through the band. The Model J is warm and round with a tight punch. Together they cover tones from midrange punch to a warm bottom with bright attack.
How does the Model J cancel hum?
The Model J is not a stack: each coil picks up one pair of strings. This keeps the resistance down and the tone clean and clear.
How does this set differ from a separate Model P and Model J?
It is a ready-matched PJ pair in one package. DiMarzio also sells the Model P on its own and the Model J as a two-pickup Jazz Bass set.
Will the set fit my bass?
It is meant for PJ basses: a P pickup in the middle position and a J at the bridge. The Model J in the set is bridge-sized, so check the dimensions against the DiMarzio chart.
Is this a genuine DiMarzio product, and what is the warranty?
Yes. SoundsGood is an official DiMarzio dealer in Ukraine; the warranty is 12 months on electronic and mechanical components.
