'60s Sound in a Modern Build
The tone, responsiveness and attack of the Sixties J come from DiMarzio's parallelogram double-coil design (patent pending). Each pickup is fully potted, and metal covers plus foil-shielded hookup wires dramatically reduce stage noise. The vintage character stays; the problems of old single coils don't.
Magnets Matched to the Fingerboard Radius
The Alnico 5 magnets mount to the arch of the cover and are fitted to closely match the fingerboard radius. The smooth playing surface keeps the magnet structure closer to the strings for more accurate response. The cover builds on the Relentless shape with no sharp edges, for more comfortable fingerstyle playing.
A Balanced Combined Position
To improve the sound with both pickups on, the bridge pickup is louder: 145 vs 140 mV for the neck. All Sixties J pickups are handmade in the USA, tested and matched. They are sized as direct replacements for USA-made Fender basses; for Squier, G&L, PRS and others, check the dimensions.
