Cort CR250 (Dark Blue Burst) — a six-string electric guitar with a classic single-cutaway body. Its defining specifications include a HH pickup configuration, 22 frets and a 24.75″ (628mm) scale. It combines a fixed bridge for playing without a vibrato arm with controls that let you change textures within the same instrument.

Construction and materials

Body: Mahogany. Neck: Mahogany. Top: Flamed Maple. Neck construction: Set-Neck. The cutaway design provides access to upper positions for melodic phrases and transitions from rhythm to lead playing.

Neck and playing feel

Fingerboard: Jatoba, with a 12″ (R305) radius. The nut width is 42 mm. There are 22 frets; this determines the available upper register together with scale length and tuning.

A constant fingerboard radius keeps the same cross-sectional curve along the neck. Compare it together with nut width and string height: those dimensions work together to shape the feel of chords, bends and position changes.

Pickups and controls

Pickups: Cort® Voiced Tone VTH59 Pickup Set. The HH layout uses neck and bridge humbuckers. Controls: 2-Volume, 2-Tone, 3-Way Switch.

Different pickup positions help match the attack to rhythm or lead parts. Compare them with the same amplifier settings, then use volume, tone and picking strength to shape the dynamics of the passage.

Bridge and tuning hardware

Bridge: Tune-O-Matic with Stop Tailpiece. Tuners: Vintage.

The fixed bridge has no moving tremolo platform, making it practical for riff playing and a chosen tuning. After changing gauge, check intonation, neck relief and string height to maintain comfortable action and accurate chords across the fingerboard.

Choosing this guitar for your music

Two humbuckers provide a starting point for rock, hard rock and expressive lead parts. A clean channel and volume adjustments also support gentler accompaniment. Compare neck geometry, bridge type and pickup response using your own picking technique.
