Hazers — Haze Machines That Reveal Light Beams | SoundsGood Ukraine

Hazers — The Mist That Holds the Beams All Evening

A hazer creates a light, even mist of the finest particles — almost invisible to the eye, yet it is what renders the beams of moving heads, scanners and beam fixtures along their full length. Unlike a fog machine with its burst clouds, haze runs continuously for hours consuming only 0.1–0.2 litres of fluid per hour — which is why it is the standard of clubs, concerts and TV studios. The main types are compact 400–700 W hazers for bars, club units with DMX, touring hazers with fine control and a large tank, and fazer machines — hybrids running on ordinary fog fluid. At SoundsGood — Eurolite, Showtec, ADJ, Cameo and branded haze fluids. Official warranty, delivery across Ukraine and Prozorro tenders.

🔍 What to Consider When Choosing

💨 Output

400–700 W — up to 150 m², 1000–1500 W — halls of 200–400 m²; strong ventilation washes the mist out.

🧴 Fluid Type

Water-based haze fluids are the standard; oil-based — the thinnest, longest-lasting mist for big shows.

🎚️ Control

DMX (1–3 channels: pump, fan), timers and remotes — density under the operator's control.

🧼 Maintenance

Branded fluids only, flushing with a cleaner solution after the season — a clean pump and nozzles.

❓ FAQ

What is a hazer?

A machine creating a light, even mist almost invisible to the eye — yet it is what renders the beams of heads, scanners and beam units along their full length all evening. Unlike a fog machine with burst clouds, haze runs continuously for hours. The standard of clubs, concerts and TV studios.

Water-based or oil-based?

Water-based is the default: safe mist with no film, affordable fluids. Oil-based gives the thinnest, longest-lasting mist for big concerts and TV, but demands specific fluids and care. For most tasks we recommend a water-based hazer.

What is a fazer?

A fog-machine/hazer hybrid: a heater like a fog unit, but it vaporises fluid in small doses and spreads it with a fan — a haze-like mist on ordinary fog fluid. Pros: one fluid for the whole fleet, a lower price. Con: the mist is more visible and settles faster than true haze.

What output and where to place it?

400–700 W — up to 150 m², 1000–1500 W — halls of 200–400 m², large venues — touring machines or several hazers. Place it backstage or at the side, nozzle along the hall; within 10–15 min the mist spreads evenly. Strong ventilation washes haze out — take a reserve.

What fluid and consumption?

Special haze fluids only: ordinary fog fluid clogs the nozzles and voids the warranty (the exception is a fazer). Consumption is minimal: 0.08–0.2 l/h — a 5 l canister lasts dozens of evenings. After the season, flush with a cleaner solution.

Will smoke detectors trigger?

Optical detectors may read the mist as smoke. Agree the use with the venue administration: detectors in the effect zone are switched to the prescribed mode under the procedure, density is kept minimally sufficient, and the nozzle is not aimed at the ceiling. The mist itself is safe for people.

How much do hazers cost?

Compact 400–700 W units and fazers are the most affordable. Club 1000–1500 W with DMX — the optimum for stages. Touring and oil-based units with large tanks and fine control — the upper niche. The fluid is economical but must be branded. Check current prices with our manager.

Delivery and payment?

We deliver across Ukraine via Nova Poshta, free from UAH 5,000; consultation and pickup in Kyiv (15 Olzhycha St.). A hazer pairs well with a haze-fluid canister and a cleaner solution. Instalments via PrivatBank and monobank — up to 12 payments. Prozorro tenders. Tel. +380 (73) 060 01 01.
