With the support of Thomas King, trombonist from Cleveland (Ohio, USA) Henderson N. White in 1894 constructed his first trombone. It was greeted in the market as a revelation to the music world, thanks to a radically new design of the horn, scale and mundtron, different from the design of the then dominant models. Musicians loved King trombones because these instruments had better backs, a smoother flow and a more brilliant response compared to trombones from other brands. Since 1894, the King name has been synonymous with world-class musical instrument quality.
