AKG C12 VR Reference Tube Studio Microphone
The AKG C12 VR continues the design concept of the original 1950s C12 in a modern professional system. Its dual-diaphragm capsule and 6072A tube preamplifier are intended for lead vocals, brass and woodwinds, and guitar amplifiers.
Nine remotely controlled patterns
The included N12 VR power supply selects nine polar responses, from omnidirectional through intermediate positions and cardioid to figure-eight. This lets engineers balance direct sound, room ambience and isolation without changing microphones.
Control for loud sources
Built-in −10 and −20 dB pads provide additional headroom near loud instruments. A selectable 100 or 130 Hz bass-cut filter reduces rumble, proximity effect and structure-borne noise.
