Roland Meinl founded the company in 1951 as a one-man operation in his basement. From 1952 — cymbals. First cymbals hand-cut, hammered and lathed by Roland himself. 1960s — US exports. 1974 — first pre-packed cymbal sets worldwide. Now — 3rd generation family business.
