AKG C214 Professional Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone
The AKG C214 uses a single-diaphragm version of the C414 capsule system with patented AKG Back-Plate Technology. Its cardioid pickup suits lead vocals, piano, strings, horns, drums and guitar amplifiers.
From quiet detail to loud sources
A 13 dB(A) equivalent noise level supports detailed recordings, while the switchable −20 dB pad raises maximum handling to 156 dB SPL. The 160 Hz bass-cut filter reduces rumble, proximity effect and mechanical noise.
Rugged studio construction
The one-inch capsule sits on an integrated suspension. A die-cast all-metal body uses a scratch-resistant finish, and the balanced XLR output operates from 9–52 V phantom power.
