The Vandoren BD5 13 Series mouthpiece has the same technical and acoustic characteristics as the Vandoren BD5 Traditional. Both of these mouthpieces embody an impeccable balance between richness and depth of tone on the one hand, and compactness of sound on the other.
The only difference between the Vandoren BD5 13 Series is that it, like the rest of the 13 Series, was specifically designed for American clarinetists who use the 440 Hz tuning.
Founded in 1905 by Eugene Van Doren, the Vandoren company has become a family business of several generations of talented craftsmen who pass down the secrets of making mouthpieces for wind instruments from generation to generation. High-quality material, family traditions, craftsmanship, experience and own developments - all this is the key to the success of products under the Vandoren brand
Each stage of production - from automatic processing of the workpiece, manual sharpening and polishing with a diamond tool, and up to the engraving of golden letters - is under the close supervision of experienced craftsmen who strive to meet the expectations of the most demanding musicians.
