PARKSONS SJB-150 (3 Tone Sunburst) — Bass guitar
The PARKSONS SJB-150 is a four-string bass inspired by the legendary Jazz Bass, one of the most popular bass designs in the world. A full 34" (864 mm) scale and 20 frets make it a real working instrument rather than a first-month toy. Two J-style pickups with separate volume controls deliver a wide palette — from a round low end to a clear, articulate attack. It is a sensible start for a beginner bassist on a limited budget. The 3 Tone Sunburst finish is a classic three-colour burst with an amber centre and dark body edges, set off by a white pickguard.

Full 34" Scale: Learn on a Real Bass
The 34" (864 mm) scale is the standard for four-string basses, so everything you practise on the SJB-150 carries over to any full-size instrument without relearning: fret spacing, string tension, fretting-hand position. Strings for this scale are easy to find in any music shop. 20 frets on the maple neck cover the whole range a bass part needs in rock, pop or funk, while dot markers help you find your way around the neck as you learn.
Two J-Style Pickups and Three Knobs
The 2-JB pickup pair senses the strings at two points: the neck pickup gives a fuller, rounder sound, the bridge pickup a tighter tone with a pronounced attack. Each has its own volume control, so you blend them smoothly rather than with a switch — from neck alone to a mix of both. The third knob is a master tone for taming the highs. No EQ on board: fewer settings, more focus on playing.
Bolt-On Neck and Practical Hardware
The maple neck is bolted to a solid-wood body — a proven design that is easy to service and adjust. The EB-6 bridge with four individual saddles lets you set the height of each string, and the truss rod and bridge wrenches are already in the box. Chrome open-gear tuners and a plastic nut make for simple, no-nonsense hardware.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the PARKSONS SJB-150?

What is the scale length and how many frets?
A 34" (864 mm) full-size scale, 20 frets and 4 strings. Skills built on the SJB-150 carry straight over to other standard basses.
Why two volume controls?
