Walnut Design instrument system
Ortega ODWS-1WND connects an instrument wirelessly to an amplifier or effects pedal. Both modules feature a dark brown Walnut Design finish reproducing a walnut grain pattern. The transmitter plugs into the instrument, while the receiver connects at the audio equipment’s input. This compact pair carries one mono instrument signal over a 2.4 GHz digital link.
Connections and compatibility
Integrated 6.35 mm TS plugs fit corresponding instrument sockets directly. The system supports most passive and active instrument electronics, including piezo pickups. Compatibility should be checked with particularly high-output active electronics. Connect the receiver to an amplifier or the first effects pedal to retain your usual signal processing after the wireless link.
Audio transmission and channels
24-bit/48 kHz transmission operates with specified latency below 5 ms. Select one of four channels, A–D, and set both modules to the same channel. LEDs display channel and battery status. The transmitter enters sleep mode after ten seconds without an input signal, helping conserve its charge between playing passages.
Rechargeable power and package
The built-in batteries provide up to five hours of use per charge, depending on operating conditions. A dual USB-A to Micro-USB cable charges both units from one USB power source. The package includes one transmitter, one receiver, the charging cable and an instruction manual. Check battery charge and matching channels before performing.
