Positioning beside the sound source
Soundking SD218 is a floor stand for placing a microphone beside a performer or instrument. Its single-section boom reaches beyond the upright tube, leaving working space in front of the performer. The black stand has a steel main structure and suits rehearsals, recording sessions and performances when fitted with an appropriate microphone holder.
Squeeze-handle height control
The stand height adjusts from 1000 to 1600 mm. Pressing the handle allows the telescopic upright tube to move, making it straightforward to match the microphone position to different performers or a seated musician. After choosing the required height, check that the mechanism has secured the tube before adjusting the microphone further.
Boom and folding tripod
The one-piece boom has a joint for adjusting its position and angle. Open the tripod first, then choose the height and boom direction. The legs fold for transport, and their folding angle controls the base locking mechanism without a separate tightening knob. Allow room around the base and keep the cable clear of the feet.
Microphone setup and cable routing
Included cable clips route the cable along the stand while leaving slack near moving joints. Select the microphone, holder and cable separately for the intended task. Check that the holder fits the threaded boom end before mounting it. SD218 provides mechanical support; the microphone connects to your audio equipment through its own signal cable.
