Discreet voice recording
The Superlux WO518TQG is a miniature lavalier microphone for interviews, television, video production and speech. Its black body clips to clothing and leaves the speaker’s hands free. This arrangement suits shots where facial expression and gestures matter. The clothing clip helps maintain a consistent capsule position on a collar or lapel.
Omnidirectional electret capsule
The electret condenser capsule picks up sound from around the microphone. It supports natural speech pickup, while the recording location still determines how much surrounding noise enters the signal. Superlux also identifies cello and double bass as applications. For instruments, choose placement by listening to the balance of attack, body resonance and room sound.
The TQG connection
A 1.5 m cable ends in a four-contact TA4F connector for a compatible wireless bodypack. Match the transmitter’s microphone input wiring and power requirements to this version; connector shape alone does not establish compatibility. Route the cable with enough slack for movement and secure it so that pulling does not reach the capsule.
Clip and wind protection
The package contains the microphone with its cable, a clothing clip, an S12 mesh attachment and an S13 foam windscreen. The S12 changes the high-frequency response, while the S13 helps reduce air noise. Keep clothing clear of the capsule. A transmitter is selected separately; mixer use requires an adapter specifically confirmed for this TQG version.
