Adams A1 Trumpet
The new Adams A1 has been developed in collaboration with US-based trumpeter Trent Austin, and features an all-new valve block, leadpipe and bell taper. It's a high-end horn with a rich spectrum of overtones and a brighter-than-center sound profile — a wonderful all-around trumpet with a ringing, brilliant sound that really shines in commercial settings. The scale is super even and the pistons are matched to the highest possible standards.
🏆 SoundsGood is the official Adams importer in Ukraine — only genuine instruments, with full warranty and service support.
The Fully Redesigned GenII
The original A1 was designed to be a versatile horn for the crossover player — it was the first trumpet in the Adams line and a fairly traditional setup. Now the fully redesigned GenII A1 takes full advantage of seven years of experience in trumpet design and manufacturing to deliver an amazing upgrade over the original A1. Adams reworked the key components — the valve block, leadpipe and bell taper — while keeping the best qualities of the original.
The New Valve Block
The new valve block is a two-piece block with nickel balusters, so you get a good crispness to the core of the horn. Plus, the valve block feels great in your hand, with good balance and ergonomics. The trumpet is fitted with three top-center stainless-steel pistons, and the block casing is made of yellow brass (medium heavy, extended).
Sound and Playability
The A1 delivers a ringing, brilliant sound with a rich spectrum of overtones. Its brighter-than-center tonal profile makes it ideal for lead parts and commercial stages where the trumpet needs to cut through the mix, while the horn remains versatile enough for a wide repertoire. A super-even scale across the range and precisely matched pistons ensure confident intonation and comfortable playing.
Design and Details
The GenII A1 comes standard with a Saturn water key on the tuning slide. Adams found the horn sounds best with no water key on the third valve slide. The tuning slide bend and bell bow shape give it a really stylish, modern look. The standard finish is satin gold lacquer.
