Adams A2 Trumpet (Bb)
The new Adams A2 trumpet has been redesigned and developed in collaboration with Fultone Brass and alongside some of the UK's leading orchestral B-flat trumpet players. Tested throughout Europe and the US, this new classical model is a true international effort and a very popular new addition to the Adams range. It is a very well-balanced trumpet, combining reassuring stability and great projection with a full, even sound across the whole range of the instrument. The A2 is very responsive in every dynamic and has the agility to adapt to all playing styles — from solo recitals to concert halls.

Balance, Stability and Projection
The A2 is conceived as a classical orchestral instrument, and you feel it in the playing: the trumpet offers reassuring tonal stability and great projection while keeping a full, even sound across the entire range. The heavy, extended yellow-brass valve block adds weight and stability, so the sound stays focused and rich even at forte.
Handcrafted Throughout
A special feature of the A2 is that all conical parts are hand-hammered from sheet metal. The one-piece yellow-brass bell, 0.50 mm thick and 123 mm in diameter, is also made by hand, as is the signature Adams 14ML leadpipe. This approach gives a response and timbre that off-the-shelf-component instruments can't match. The trumpet is fitted with three top-center stainless-steel Perinet pistons and a fixed mouthpiece receiver.
Responsiveness and Agility
The A2 responds instantly at any dynamic — from the softest piano to a powerful forte — and stays agile and flexible across all styles. This makes it equally comfortable for solo recitals, chamber playing and work in a large orchestra or concert hall.
Finish
This A2 version (Selected L) comes in clear lacquer. The model is also available silver plated. The finger buttons are yellow brass with white mother-of-pearl inlays, and the tuning slide carries a traditional water key.

The outfit includes a genuine Adams gigbag as well as a care set: valve oil, slide grease, trigger oil, a cleaning cloth and a slide stopper. A mouthpiece is not supplied. Your choice of mouthpiece is extremely personal and very important for playing pleasure, which is why Adams deliberately does not include a standard mouthpiece — you select the one that suits you.
