Four microphone channels
Mipro ACT-800 TA80 Quad Set 5UA combines a four-channel ACT-848 digital receiver with four TA-80 plug-on transmitters. This version operates at 482–554 MHz with a 72 MHz tuning bandwidth. The set provides four separate microphone channels through one receiver for stage or installed sound systems.
TA-80 transmitters
Each transmitter has a locking XLR female input and selectable 12 or 48 V phantom power for compatible microphones. Adjustable gain helps match the input signal, while the low-cut filter reduces low-frequency content. A replaceable 18500 lithium-ion battery supplies power. Microphones are selected separately according to the application and their power requirements.
Receiver and connections
ACT-848 uses digital diversity reception. Scanning helps select a frequency, and ACT synchronisation transfers settings to the transmitter. Connections include four balanced XLR outputs and two AES/EBU digital outputs. BNC Word Clock input and output support synchronisation with suitable digital equipment. RJ11 connections provide remote control, while antenna connections use TNC sockets.
Power and included components
The package contains the ACT-848 receiver, four TA-80 transmitters, receiver power supply, rack ears and an RJ11 cable. Transmitter accessories include batteries, charging cradles, microphone holders and bags. The receiver’s external power supply accepts 100–240 V mains power. Check channel frequencies, signal levels and the phantom-power requirements of the connected microphones before use.
