Xvive U5 is a digital wireless system for recording speech during video production. It combines one U5T transmitter, a U5R receiver and an LV1 lavalier microphone for interviews, presentations and video blogs.
Microphone and transmitter
Clip the LV1 to clothing and secure its 3.5 mm plug using the transmitter input’s screw collar. U5T accepts microphone or line sources. The digital radio link operates at 2.4 GHz with 24-bit / 48 kHz audio.
Recording to a camera
U5R mounts on a camera shoe and sends analogue audio through its 3.5 mm stereo TRS output. It supports two independent audio channels, while this set supplies one transmitter. A single source can feed both recorded sides at different levels, providing a quieter backup track. A second independent source requires an additional transmitter.
Setup and power
The system provides six selectable radio channels. Check the wireless connection, camera recording level and microphone placement before filming. Removable U5B batteries power the units, with charging through USB. Nominal operating time is about five hours.
U5 package
The set includes U5T, U5R, one LV1 microphone, a clip and a windscreen. Two U5B batteries, a 3.5–3.5 mm stereo cable, USB charging cable, pouch and documentation are also supplied. The separate U5C charger is an option for preparing replacement batteries for a shoot.
