Cort KX300 Etched (Etched Black Red) is a 6-string electric guitar with a 648 mm scale and 24 frets.
This version combines a Etched Black Red finish, EMG RetroActive Super77 Set pickups and a Hardtail String-Through-Body bridge. It supports rhythm parts, melodies and technique practice; your amplifier and picking approach also shape the final sound.
KX300 Etched in detail
The KX300 Etched gets its textured appearance from a sand-blasted 15 mm swamp ash top. Coloured accents highlight the natural grain, giving each instrument its own pattern. Its mahogany body is paired with a Pau Ferro fingerboard and raindrop markers. EMG RetroActive Super77 pickups suit defined attack and full rock sounds, while straightforward volume, tone and toggle controls make it easy to find a working sound.
Construction and playing feel

Pickups and controls
The EMG RetroActive Super77 Set system uses a HH layout. Controls: 1 Volume / 1 Tone. The selector provides 3 positions.
The active electronics require power. They suit saturated gain and defined rhythm work. Unplug the instrument cable after playing to conserve battery life.
Bridge and maintenance
The fixed Hardtail String-Through-Body bridge suits riff work and lead playing without an arm. Stretch new strings before final tuning, and check intonation and neck relief after a gauge change. Set intonation in your intended tuning.
The hardware includes Die-Cast tuners. Factory string gauge: D’Addario EXL110 (.010–.046). Wiping the strings and hardware after playing helps maintain the instrument.
