Fender Player Stratocaster (Buttercream) is a right-handed six-string electric guitar. It combines a recognisable body shape, 25.5" (648 mm) scale and SSS pickup layout. The Buttercream finish highlights the body contours and identifies this version in the SoundsGood catalogue.
Body, neck and playing feel
The body uses Alder, the neck is Maple and the fingerboard is Maple. A Modern "C" profile shapes the feel in your hand. The 25.5" (648 mm) scale provides familiar fret spacing for chords, riffs and lead passages.
The fingerboard has a 9.5" (241 mm) radius, 22 Medium Jumbo frets and a 1.650" (42 mm) nut width. These dimensions help you compare finger spacing, bending feel and the transition between lower and upper positions.
Pickups and sound controls
The neck pickup is a Player Series Alnico 5 Strat Single-Coil and the bridge pickup is a Player Series Alnico 5 Strat Single-Coil. The middle position uses a Player Series Alnico 5 Strat Single-Coil. Pickup positions let you compare a rounder neck voice with a more defined bridge attack.
Controls: Master Volume, Tone 1. (Neck/Middle Pickups), Tone 2. (Bridge Pickup). The selector chooses individual pickups and their combinations. Adjusting volume and picking strength helps you balance accompaniment and lead passages.
Bridge and hardware
The bridge is a 2-Point Synchronized Tremolo with Bent Steel Saddles. Tuning machines: Standard Cast/Sealed. The tremolo arm adds gentle vibrato. Correct string installation, stretching after replacement and an appropriate spring balance help keep its response predictable.
