Microphone placement on a desk
The Gator Frameworks GFW-MIC-0601 is a desktop microphone stand for podcasts, speech, interviews and voice recording. It sits directly on the desk and supports the microphone on a short upright. This arrangement suits a workspace built around a computer or small mixer, with the microphone positioned in front of a seated speaker.
Adjustable working height
Height adjusts from 254 to 381 mm using a soft-grip twist clutch. Raise or lower the microphone to suit the desk height and the speaker’s position, then secure the clutch. The microphone’s direction is set through a compatible holder selected for its particular body or mounting arrangement, providing a separate adjustment at the top.
Weighted round base
The steel construction rests on a weighted round base measuring 6 inches in diameter. A rubber gasket underneath helps resist slipping and reduce unwanted vibration transfer from the surface. The finish is black. Place the base on a clear, level area of the desk and consider the microphone and holder dimensions when checking the assembled stand’s stability.
Mounting and cable routing
The package includes a cable clip and a 5/8″–3/8″ threaded adapter for attaching a compatible microphone holder. The clip routes the cable along the upright to keep the workspace organised. Select the microphone, holder and audio cable separately. Leave enough cable slack at the connector so height adjustments do not pull the cable tight or move the stand.
