Close placement near the floor
The Gator Frameworks GFW-MIC-2621 is a short microphone stand for kick drums, guitar amplifiers and speaker cabinets. Its low upright places the microphone in front of a sound source close to the floor. This layout suits stage, rehearsal and studio instrument recording, with the microphone held by a separately selected compatible clip.
Telescoping boom adjustment
The extending boom changes the distance between the stand base and the microphone. An adjustable joint sets the boom angle, while a separate lock secures the telescoping section. Together, these adjustments help position the capsule at the chosen area of a speaker or drumhead. Secure the joints after selecting the desired position.
Folding tripod construction
The stand uses steel construction and a collapsible three-leg base. Foot caps help resist slipping, and red rings make the leg ends easier to see. The legs fold alongside the upright for transport. When setting up, spread the legs on a level surface and check stability with the microphone fitted and the boom extended.
Mounting and included parts
A threaded fitting at the boom end accepts a suitable microphone holder. Included cable clips guide the audio cable along the stand while allowing slack at the microphone connector. The package comprises the stand with its telescoping boom and cable clips. Select the microphone, holder and audio cable separately, checking that the holder thread matches the mounting fitting.
