A microphone within easy reach
The Gator Frameworks GFWMICBCBM2000 is a desktop microphone boom for podcasts, broadcasting and voice recording. It positions the microphone beside the speaker while leaving desk space available for a keyboard, notes or a mixer. This arrangement suits a regular recording position where microphone placement needs to follow the seated user without moving a desktop base.
Articulated positioning
Metal springs support the articulated arm, while 360° rotation allows its direction to change around the mounting point. Maximum extension is 980 mm. A separate knob at the boom end sets the microphone angle. Position the microphone at a comfortable speaking distance, secure the end adjustment and leave enough space around the connector for the audio cable.
Two mounting options
One desk clamp kit and one surface-mount kit are included. The clamp fits desktops up to 55 mm thick; the alternative mount suits a permanent position on the work surface. The steel construction has a black powder-coated finish. Choose a mounting location that allows the arm to move clear of the screen and nearby recording equipment.
Microphone attachment
The microphone end uses a standard 5/8-27 thread. Check the thread on your microphone or its holder before installation, along with connector clearance. The GFWMICBCBM2000 is supplied as a stand with its two mounting kits. Prepare a suitable microphone and audio cable, routing the cable with enough slack for changes in arm position.
