Guild Polara Night Edition (Tungsten). The Guild Polara Night Edition Tungsten is a stripped-back Polara with one bridge HB-2+ humbucker and one volume knob. The body and set neck are mahogany, while the fingerboard is ebony. Black hardware and the absence of face inlays support its restrained appearance. A 15.75-inch fingerboard radius also distinguishes the Night Edition from the basic Polara. It suits riff-focused playing where the hands and amplifier provide most of the tonal changes.

Pickups and controls
The Alnico V HB-2+ bridge humbucker feeds a master volume control. There is no neck pickup, pickup selector or tone knob. Lowering the guitar’s volume can change how strongly it drives an amplifier, so test several settings at your usual gain level. A fixed Tune-o-matic bridge and string-through construction provide a stationary platform for rhythm work. Vibrato and bends are produced with your hands.
