Microphone placement close to the floor
Soundking SD226 is a short floor stand with a boom for sound reinforcement and recording. Its format is useful when a microphone needs to sit near the floor, such as beside an instrument or a guitar cabinet. The tripod lets you choose a base position while the boom brings the microphone closer to the required pickup point.
Telescopic adjustments
The stand adjusts from 550 to 800 mm in height. A telescopic boom allows its reach to be changed, while the pivoting upper joint sets the microphone angle. Independent height and boom adjustments are useful when exploring recording positions: you can change the distance to the sound source without moving the entire base each time.
Folding construction
The SD226 has a steel structure and a tripod with folding legs. A plate-lock mechanism secures the telescoping upright, while the base locks through the position of the legs. Open the support and check the locking points before fitting a microphone. The black finish suits stage and studio equipment, and the short format works well around floor-level sound sources.
Cable routing and microphone mounting
Included cable clips help route the microphone cable along the stand. Leave a little slack around moving joints to allow adjustment. The threaded end of the boom accepts a suitable microphone holder. Match the holder to your microphone and check its mounting fit, so height, reach and angle adjustments work together when establishing the final recording position.
