How to choose reed strength
No. 3 Soft is a medium option within this series. The Soft subdivision fine-tunes resistance within the main strength. The same number can feel different across brands and reed profiles. More open mouthpieces usually pair with softer reeds, while closer mouthpieces can work comfortably with firmer reeds. Also consider facing length, embouchure, air support, and preferred resistance.
Care and storage
- check alignment on the mouthpiece before playing;
- rinse with cool water without harsh cleaners after use;
- wipe with a soft lint-free cloth;
- store flat in a protective reed case;
- avoid hot water and do not bend the tip;
