How to choose reed strength
No. 2.5 is a moderately soft option within this series. The same number can feel different across brands and reed profiles. More open mouthpieces usually pair with softer reeds, while closer mouthpieces can work comfortably with firmer reeds. Also consider facing length, embouchure, air support, and preferred resistance.
Care and storage
- moisten the reed evenly before playing;
- remove excess moisture after use;
- let the reed dry on a flat ventilated surface;
- rotate several reeds for more even wear;
- avoid heat, over-drying, and sudden humidity changes;
