“SoundsGood — a store of musical instruments and professional lighting & sound equipment” offers only official products covered by the warranty of the manufacturer and/or authorised importer in Ukraine.
✅ Our warranty principles
All terms are aligned with the current Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Rights Protection” and government regulations regarding warranty repair of technically complex consumer products.

Which musical products are covered
The warranty applies to all musical and professional products that have a factory serial number and/or an official warranty document:

Acoustic instruments
Violins, violas, cellos, double basses, wind instruments (saxophones, clarinets, flutes, trumpets, trombones), guitars, ukuleles, drum sets, percussion.

Electronic instruments
Digital pianos and synthesizers, electric guitars, bass guitars, effect processors, electronic drums.
🎚️
Professional audio equipment
Mixers, power amplifiers, PA systems, studio monitors, microphones, audio interfaces, studio processors, DJ controllers.

Lighting equipment
Moving heads, effect lights, spotlights, fog/haze machines, controllers, DMX equipment.

The exact warranty period is set by the manufacturer/importer and is indicated on the product page on our website, in the warranty card and in the sales document (invoice / receipt).

Warranty for acoustic musical instruments
🎻 Bowed string instruments
Violin, viola, cello, double bass
✅ What is considered a warranty case:
- Factory defects of the body (open seams, defective glued joints).
- Structural defects of the neck, pegs, fingerboard.
- Defects of tailpiece, pegs, fine tuners or mechanics under normal use.
❌ What is not considered a warranty case:
- Cracks and deformation caused by incorrect humidity/temperature conditions.
- Natural wear of strings, rosin and bow hair.
- Scratches, dents and lacquer chips caused by use or transportation.
🎺 Wind instruments
✅ Warranty covers:
- Body defects (solder joints, material cracks under normal use).
- Mechanical problems caused by manufacturing defects.
- Defects of valves, keys or mechanisms within the warranty period.
❌ Not covered by warranty:
- Natural wear of pads, corks and springs.
- Corrosion due to condensation and lack of drying after playing.
- Damage caused by attempts of self-repair or non-authorised service.

Warranty for electronic instruments and pro audio
These products are classified as technically complex consumer goods. For them, the law provides a special procedure for warranty repair and possible replacement.
📦 This category includes:
- Digital pianos, synthesizers, electronic drum kits.
- Power amplifiers, mixers, recorders, audio interfaces, effect processors.
- PA systems (including active), subwoofers, studio monitors.
- Lighting fixtures, controllers, fog/haze machines.
- DJ controllers, CD/media players.
✅ Warranty applies to:
- Failure of electronic modules when properly connected to the mains.
- Factory defects of circuit boards, displays, encoders, faders and connectors.
❌ Warranty does not apply to:
- Damage caused by power surges, incorrect phase or missing ground.
- Damage due to liquid spills or foreign objects inside the device.
- Burnt speakers caused by prolonged overloading or clipping.

Accessories and consumables
A separate category is consumables with a naturally limited lifespan:
- Strings for all types of instruments.
- Reeds and reed blanks.
- Drum heads, sticks and brushes.
- Cables, connectors and adapters.
- Care products (oils, sprays, wipes, swabs, sponges).
⚠️ Please note
Such products usually do not have a long warranty period, but we take responsibility for obvious factory defects revealed at first use.

Items not returnable for hygiene reasons
At SoundsGood, for hygiene reasons, the following items of proper quality are generally non-returnable and non-exchangeable:
🚫 Personal-use items:
- Mouthpieces for wind instruments (saxophone, clarinet, trumpet, etc.).
- Mutes for brass and woodwind instruments.
- Violin chin rests.
- Opened care products (if the seal/protective packaging is broken).

Return and exchange of goods in proper condition (14 days)
According to the law, the customer has the right to exchange or return goods of proper quality within 14 calendar days, provided they have not been used and the commercial appearance is preserved.
✅ Return conditions:
- The instrument has no signs of use (scratches, scuffs, dents).
- Electronic devices have no traces of installation or self-repair, protective films are preserved.
- Original packaging is preserved in a condition suitable for resale.
- A sales document (invoice/receipt) is provided.

Warranty repair: terms and procedure
The seller is obliged to eliminate defects within 14 days from the date of the claim, unless another period is agreed with the customer in writing.

We perform diagnostics in our own or an authorised service centre.

Free repair, product replacement or refund (in accordance with the law).
⏱️ Important note
During the repair, the warranty period is extended. If the defect is significant or cannot be eliminated, you are entitled to a replacement product or a refund in line with the Law of Ukraine “On Consumer Rights Protection”.

Cases when the warranty does not apply
The warranty does not apply in the following cases:
❌ Typical reasons for warranty denial:
- Mechanical damage caused by drops, impacts or improper transportation.
- Traces of liquid ingress (coffee, water, alcohol, condensation).
- Unauthorised intervention: soldering, circuit modifications, unsuccessful “tuning”.
- Improper storage (humidity/temperature violations).
- Burnt speakers due to excessive signal level and overloading.
- Damage from aggressive cleaning agents or improper care.
🔍 Determining the warranty case
In all disputed cases we rely on the official conclusion of an authorised service centre of the brand whose product has been purchased.

In addition to the legally required warranty, SoundsGood offers extra service benefits:
- Pre-sale inspection and basic setup of instruments.
- Consultation with a luthier or wind-instrument technician when choosing an instrument.
- Extended warranty or special service conditions for selected brands.
- Professional support from our team of musicians.
